SE Validation Limited

SE Validation Limited is an authorised reseller of the Assurance and Safety Case Environment (ASCE) computer tool set developed by Adelard LLP. This tool set is already well established in the safety field, but SE Validation is working with Adelard to develop the use of the tool set for the verification and validation (V&V) of models and simulations. To support this we have jointly developed two new schema for ASCE: one combines Goal Structured Notation (GSN) and Claim, Argument, Evidence (CAE) notation to give a single environment to support both the planning and execution of V&V. The other allows the use of Problem Frame notation to support GSN and CAE to provide improved requirement capture capabilities and to help in the definition and management of real-world referent information. The version of the tool incorporating these new schema is called SimuLASCE.

A full version of the ASCE software that may be used for a 30-day trial period is available on the Adelard web site. A prototype Problem Frame schema for use with ASCE, together with supporting files and examples can be downloaded here as a .zip archive
